What booking through Jon changes

It costs you nothing

Jon is paid through Fora Travel by the hotel, the ship or the operator once you travel, so the commission comes out of their margin rather than being added to your bill. yourwindowseat never charges you anything.

Agency access you don’t have

Some hotel rates are never published, and Fora advisors can book them. What that adds up to varies by property — a client who booked New York through Jon came back with an upgraded room, breakfast for two and a credit to spend at the hotel.

One person, start to finish

The same person who planned the trip is the one you message when a flight moves or a plan changes. Not a call centre, and not a different agent each time.

How it works

  1. Tell Jon where you’d like to go

The view you’re after, your dates, and who’s coming along.

  2. Jon plans it around you

Flights, stays and the pieces in between, built around the view and the pace you want.

  3. Book through Fora

Jon books the trip through Fora Travel, so you have one person to ask before, during and after.

Questions people ask

Do I pay more by booking through an advisor?

Your rate is not marked up. Jon is paid a commission by the hotel or operator, through Fora Travel, after you have travelled, and it comes out of their margin rather than being added to your bill. Some trips take enough planning to carry a fee of their own — where that applies Jon tells you before you book, never after. yourwindowseat never charges you anything either way.

What can Jon book?

Flights, stays and the pieces in between, plus the bigger set pieces — cruises, rail journeys and safaris. The curated trips further down this page are booked the same way.

Which destinations does he know best?

Argentina, South America more broadly, Europe and the Pacific Northwest, and luxury and LGBTQA+ travel anywhere. If a place is outside that, he will say so.

Can we do this in Spanish?

Yes. Jon works in English and Spanish, which is part of why so much of his Argentina and South America planning starts in Spanish.

What happens if something changes mid-trip?

You message Jon. He booked it, so he is the one who can move it — and he is the same person you planned it with.

How do I start?

Tell him where you would like to go, roughly when, and who is coming. One conversation is enough to begin.
